Lowell Program Web Site
The Lowell Program in Economic Geology is sporting a brand-new web site. It was created in collaboration with the Treistman Center for New Media in the College of Fine Arts. Our web pages provide a comprehensive overview of the Lowell Program, including a calendar of events, a biography of David Lowell, profiles of our Faculty and Staff, tentative course listings, Frequently Asked Questions, and a feedback form.

South America and Australia Trips
As part of our ongoing efforts to make the Lowell Program known to the international mining community, we traveled to Peru and Chile last October. In Lima, Santiago, and Concepción (where we attended the 10th Chilean Geological Congress) we had the opportunity to visit with members of over twenty companies and institutions. The level of interest in the Lowell Program in Economic Geology was high, and the feedback we obtained was invaluable. This October, we are flying to Australia to attend the stand-alone meeting of the Society of Economic Geologists in Perth, "Predictive Mineral Discovery Under Cover," and to visit with institutions and companies across Australia. We look forward to getting vigorous input from our colleagues there!
